Meet the Makers | Senyu

Meet Jordi Hemstock, founder of Senyu.

Following a Master of Arts in Design at Northumbria University, where Jordi focused on sustainability and cultural preservation, Jordi launched the brand Senyu to celebrate and champion her deep love of her home state, Nagaland, and its rich tradition of backstrap loom weaving. 

By supporting local artisans and sharing their craft with the world, @Senyucraft celebrates and honours the rich history of the region and its community of weavers. Sustainable, low impact and rooted in ancestral knowledge, we love Senyu’s homeware with its rich yet subtle colour palette and graphic patterns which blends heritage skills with contemporary design.
