Our Story

April 11 co-founders Miranda Warmington and Bethany Malyan

Located in the heart of Durham, we launched April 11, a shop and community space that champions the work of emerging and established makers from across the North of England and Scotland, in Autumn 2025.

We honour craft as art and celebrate the beauty of slow, thoughtful production. More than a shop, April 11 is a hub for creativity, offering regular workshops for all ages and abilities.

Rooted in place and passion, our space brings together those who make, those who appreciate, and those who are curious to learn.
