Woven on a handloom in Nagaland the Vila Tote bag features an abstract floral motif. The floral motif takes on a geometric form through the backstrap loom, reflecting the limitations and beauty of the technique and skilfully blending heritage skills with contemporary design. The motif flows seamlessly across both the front and back of the tote, creating a continuous and striking visual. Choose from terracotta, lime green or brown.
Senyu was born from Jordi’s deep love of her home state, Nagaland, and its rich tradition of backstrap loom weaving. By supporting local artisans and sharing their craft with the world, Senyu celebrates and honours the rich history of the region and its community of weavers.
Each piece is unique, with slight variations in colour and size that highlight the handmade process.
